Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to some common questions about therapy and working with me. If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Simply put, Therapy is a safe and neutral space where you can explore your life with someone who's trained to help you figure things out. It's a chance to dive into your thoughts and feelings, work through challenges, and maybe even learn some new ways to handle stuff that comes your way.
It's all about you — your journey, your growth. We'll go at your pace, and I'll be here to support you and help you make sense of things.
Yes, everything you share in therapy is confidential. Confidentiality means that any information you share during your sessions will not be disclosed to anyone outside the therapy setting. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule, as therapists are legally required to break confidentiality in certain situations. Those will be explained to you before you begin your sessions.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question because therapy is a unique experience for each individual and may require different timelines for different experiences. Together with the therapist, you can understand what the best course of action would be to support your unique concerns, goals, and needs. The idea is to remember that everyone's therapeutic journey is very different.
Usually, a therapy session will be 55-60 minutes long.
